Our team is full of motivated students with aspirations in the STEM field. We are passionate about learning and always have fun while we do!
Fusion 4133 builds a robot each year to participate in the FIRST Tech Challenge. This process that involves design, build, programming, and reiteration. This gives students opportunities to learn CAD, java, and power tools like our CNC router.
We have an incredible space to be creative and learn new things in a fun and fast-paced environment. We have also shown how world class robots are always better with a tight-knit team standing behind them and we want YOU to be a part of it!
Fusion accepts new members every season to get as many people as possible involved in robotics and STEM as we can. If you are interested in joining the team, please click the button below to fill out and submit the application. We look forward to meeting you soon!
Mentors are an important part of Fusion. By donating their time, knowledge and experience, mentors help us succeed! If you are interested in becoming a mentor we encourage you to fill out and submit the application below. Robotics is fun for all ages and we would love to welcome you to Fusion!

I have been doing robotics for the last six years and it has taught me so much. One of the coolest things about this program is the environment. We constantly build and grow and we love to support each other in and out of robotics. I have met some amazing people from other teams throughout Montana which makes every competition a fun reunion. Spending time with the people that make robotics great is my favorite part of being on the team.
Out of the many things I have learned during my time on this team my favorite is public speaking. I’ve had many opportunities to become a better public speaker. I have also learned how to handle failure. It is so important to know how to recover after something doesn’t work the way you want it to and my time in robotics has helped me learn how to overcome these obstacles.
I joined Fusion to continue learning about robotics and all of its components including, using power tools, CAD software, and a lot of team work skills. My favorite thing about robotics is the environment at competitions. Getting to meet new people from all different places who share a common interest is a super fun experience and a great way to make new friends.
We compete in the FIRST® Tech Challenge. Fusion strives to participate within the spirit of FIRST® ; we want everyone to learn the value of teamwork and Gracious Professionalism as well as be involved, share ideas and contribute to the team. The team believes strongly in the engineering process and that planning and teamwork are the two most important aspects of this process.
Our practice times vary and are determined based on team members schedules. We consistently meet as a full team on Sunday afternoons.
Our main subteams are build, programming, and documentation. In these sub categories we then have builders, designers, coders, marketing and social media people.
Every year varies with how many members we keep, but typically we stay between 7 and 10 members.
Any 7th -12th grade student in the Helena area!
Our season begins in September when the game drops and can continue through April. Our team also enjoys doing activities together outside of the season inclusing outreach events or just fun team bowling nights.
We work in the basement of the Helena Regional Airport. They have generously donated this space for us to work out of and it is an amazing place for all of our teams to learn and build robots!
We strive to give back to our community as much as we can because without the support of this amazing community we would not be able to operate. As such, we volunteer at many events throughout the year, do displays and presentations for businesses and give presentations at schools.
Absolutely! We get out into the community and help wherever we can. If you need volunteers at your next event shoot us an email at 4133.fusion@gmail.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
We would love for you to get involved! Please send us an email at 4133.fusion@gmail.com or use our contact page to reach out!
